Final Work Package Finished

This month, the SMC Excel project finalized its very last workpackage and submitted the last four deliverables to TUBITAK’s ECO INNOVERA officers. In WP 4, four studies have been conducted:

  1. An environmental analysis of the proposed SMC introduction in the consumer electronics industry in comparison to the traditional mass production business model.
  2. A market potential analysis to assess customers’ perception and acceptance of SMC offerings.
  3. A derivation of environmental guidelines for SMC business models
  4. A set of policy recommendations and ideas for fostering the development of SMC business models.

Two studies, which result from this workpackage have been submitted and accepted for presentation at the 9th World Mass Customization & Personalization Conference (MCPC 2017) taking place at Aachen on Nov 20-21 2017 and will published by Springer in the MCPC 2017 proceedings afterwards.

A third evaluation study, an Outcome Driven Innovation study on consumer needs in the different life cycles of TVs has been accepted by the European Roundtable of Sustainable Consumption & Production (ERSCP) taking place in Greece on Oct 01-05 2017.
